Subaru XV Concept
The XV Concept is a fun urban crossover that Subaru says will elevate driving enjoyment to new levels. The concept behind the new XV design is a cross between the “traditionally adventurous face of Subaru” and the urban lifestyle associated with the crossover genre, more typically known as an “urban adventure” vehicle.

Although Subaru says the XV Concept is adventure-capable in the wilderness, drivers will feel at home in the city as this concept vehicle was designed to easily cruise through city streets, making steep inclines, cobblestone lanes and daily city life just a little bit more interesting to explore. With sightlines higher than those of average passenger cars, familiar neighbourhoods will seem new again and even ordinary errands are more exciting from behind the wheel, says Subaru. Fresh, energizing colours and a unique wheel design accentuate a playful, sporty yet casual style and distinctive character all its own.

BRZ is a rear-wheel-drive sport coupe designed with superior steering response and razor-sharp handling characteristics, according to Subaru.

2013 Subaru BRZ
Set to arrive in dealerships this June, the new 2013 BRZ is an anxiously awaited rear-wheel-drive sport coupe designed with superior steering response and razor-sharp handling characteristics, according to Subaru. Featuring a new horizontally opposed 2.0-litre four-cylinder boxer engine designed to produce 200 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque, the BRZ’s engine is positioned even lower than in other Subaru models, giving the BRZ one of the lowest possible centres of gravity on the market. Compact and light, the engine also features new direct injection and port injection technology for crisp response and maximum efficiency. The BRZ will also offer both a short-throw six-speed manual transmission and a six-speed automatic with sport mode.

The BRZ’s light yet highly rigid body was exclusively developed to maximize the advantages of its ultra-low centre of gravity in order to produce superb handling capabilities, says Subaru. And, on the outside, this contributes to a stylish, sexy coupe with a low, wide stance and aerodynamically sculpted lines. On the inside, an ultra-low seating position, heavily bolstered sport seats, small steering wheel and gauges also make the BRZ’s interior most clearly purpose-built for a sporty driving experience, the automaker says. Nonetheless, Subaru says this compact design offers 2+2 seating with a folding rear seatback plus ample trunk space, making the BRZ suitable for longer trips thanks to its unexpected utility for a vehicle in its class.

2012 Subaru Impreza
Subaru says the next-generation 2012 Impreza is fun to drive and delivers a feeling of confidence behind the wheel. The car offers the highest fuel efficiency of any all-wheel-drive car in North America with fuel efficiency ratings of 7.5 litres per 100 kilometres in the city and 5.5 L/100 km on the highway. This 30% improvement in fuel economy over the previous model makes the new Impreza comparable to two-wheel-drive vehicles, while still providing the driving experience and all-weather active safety benefits of the automaker’s symmetrical full-time AWD system, says Subaru.

Also new for the 2012 model year is a new 2.0L engine producing 148 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque. Compared with the outgoing Impreza’s 2.5L engine, the new-generation 2.0L boxer engine offers greater environmental friendliness and is even more responsive, says Subaru. These improvements are thanks to lighter vehicle weight, especially when equipped with the new second-generation Lineartronic continuously variable transmission.  The new Impreza includes a choice of either a five-speed manual transmission or CVT and two body styles — a four-door sedan or a sporty five-door. Both boast an all-new exterior, upgraded interior with more room for all occupants and more standard features.
